Why you'd want to live in Fountain Hills
Fountain Hills is small (yet growing) scenic desert community. It is just east of Scottsdale. It is located about 45 minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. Surrounded by mountain views of Four Peaks, the Superstitions, and McDowell Mountains, the centerpiece of Fountain Hills is the world's tallest continuously running manmade water fountain which sits in the middle of a lake surrounded by a 32-acre park at the eastern end of the Avenue of the Fountain. The spectacular fountain rises 560 feet into the air, 10 feet higher than the Washington Monument and almost three times higher than Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park. Since the fountain rises so high in the air, it is easily viewed from all over town and on highways and roads approaching Fountain Hills.
